On a related note, the father of Mitchell Katine died this past week. For those of you who don't know him, Mitchell was the lead counsel for Lawrence and Garner in the case that struck down the sodomy statutes and set us free. I am proud that Mitchell was one of my professors at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas and a great friend to my partner and me.
Mitchell, I never met your father, but I can imagine how proud he was of you. May his name be for a blessing.
